Ridgeview Place Senior Living is looking to add a Director of Community Life and Wellness to their team!!

This position will be responsible for planning and administering of comprehensive recreational/wellness programs for all community tenants and for the maintenance of records necessary to comply with community policies and regulatory requirements. The major function of this department may be classified as (1) assessing individual tenant wellness needs, (2) creating wellness activities based upon individual tenant preferences designed to fulfill tenant needs, (3) maintain an environment of opportunity for every tenant to experience each dimension of wellness, according to their needs, and (4) promoting benefits and significance of quality recreation/wellness programming to tenants, families, visitors, staff and volunteers.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum education requirements include a high school diploma or its equivalent along with professional experience of at least two years providing activities in a health care setting 
  • Ideal candidate may be: 
  • A qualified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, or; 
  • A qualified Activity Professional certified by a recognized accrediting body 
  • Experience in long term care preferred 
  • Will have a desire to work with Elders and make a difference in their Quality of Life; 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Must be able to accept and follow supervision 
  • Must be possess leadership skills 
  • Must be able to provide exemplary customer service to residents’, families, facility staff, and other interested parties 
  • Must meet all local health regulations, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry
